In Building Trances That Work, you’ll learn to go beyond recipes and techniques, deep into the underlying principles that make trance effective. You’ll experientially explore:
- The universal building blocks of trance and how to combine them creatively
- How to evoke and shape absorbing and impactful experiences using principles of experiential design, psychomagic, and Ericksonian utilisation
- How to shape trances in ways that connect clients to both personal and universal resources for deep, lasting change
If you want the confidence to create effective, responsive, and truly personalised trances - the kind that fit the client in front of you exactly in the moment they are in, AND get real change happening - this workshop is one for you.
This workshop is founded on lots of skills drills and exercises applying the concepts.
People will be going into experiences as much (likely more) as they will be learning to shape them. These activities are. Full supported by debriefs and Q&As.
A degree of personal coaching is also available (this will vary depending how n numbers).
Meet James Tripp
James Tripp is an internationally respected teacher, coach, and changework innovator known for his deep, practical explorations into the nature of mind, transformation, and creative influence. Drawing from hypnosis, philosophy, complexity science, and Daoist thought, James helps practitioners move beyond technique into the artistry of adaptive, emergent changework.

Summary
Conference Refund Policy
Due to the amount of logistics, care, and non-refundable deposits that go into planning the largest hypnosis conference, we have the following policies in place.
Participant Refund Policy
Conference registration and/or workshop registration may be canceled with full refund (less a 10% processing fee) provided written notification is received prior to February 1, 2026.
Cancellation after February 1st & before May 14th, refund permitted minus 25% processing fee.
Cancellation after May 14th & before July 1st, refund permitted minus 50% processing fee
Due to financial obligations incurred by Hypnothoughts Live, no refunds will be granted after July 1, 2026.
In the case of an emergency, special requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis by the leadership team following the conference.
No-shows cannot be issued a refund, as contractual agreements have been met and paid to the venue based on attendance.

Force Majeure: Hypnothoughts Live will not be held responsible for any costs or damages incurred due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen events.

NOTE: Please allow one complete billing cycle before refunds appear on your credit card statement.
Exhibitor Refund Policy
Exhibitor registration may be canceled with full refund (less a $30 processing fee) provided written notification is received any time up until eight (8) weeks prior to the conference start date.
A 50% refund is available for exhibitor registration provided written notification is received between eight (8) weeks and four (4) weeks prior to the conference start date.
No refunds will be granted within four (4) weeks of the conference start date. In the case of an emergency, special requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis by the leadership team following the conference.
