I’m Dr. Bill Anapoell, a hospital-based physician specializing in acute care medicine with extensive experience in pain management. For about three decades now, I’ve worked with patients in all areas off the hospital…from those in the Emergency Room, to those on the cancer wards, to those just out of surgery, and I’ve seen firsthand the power of integrating hypnotic principles into clinical practice. Hypnosis has helped my patients consistently reduce pain, minimize anxiety, and even cut down on their use of narcotic medications.

Meet Bill Anapoell
My name is Bill Anapoell. I am an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the UCSD School of Medicine and the Medical Director for over 150 primary care doctors and 450 specialists who together care for over 20,000 patients in the San Diego area.
I am also a Hospitalist, a medical doctor whose emphasis is on acute care medicine in the hospital setting. When it comes to pain, my patients' situations run the gamut from postoperative pain to chronic discomfort they’ve had for years.
I have used hypnosis successfully in caring for patients in the emergency room as well as for those going into or recovering from surgery. Please join me as I share what I do to help my patients reduce their pain and minimize their use of narcotics.
With over 30 years of experience as a physician, I have come to appreciate the role the mind plays both in creating and maintaining disease as well as in eliminating it. Our own human experience has taught us time and again that we can work ourselves up over a situation to the point that we are upset, anxious, and unable to see a way out.
Fortunately, science has shown us that we can also think ourselves healthy.

Conference Refund Policy
Due to the amount of logistics, care, and non-refundable deposits that go into planning the largest hypnosis conference, we have the following policies in place.
Participant Refund Policy
Conference registration and/or workshop registration may be canceled with full refund (less a 10% processing fee) provided written notification is received prior to February 1, 2026.
Cancellation after February 1st & before May 14th, refund permitted minus 25% processing fee.
Cancellation after May 14th & before July 1st, refund permitted minus 50% processing fee
Due to financial obligations incurred by Hypnothoughts Live, no refunds will be granted after July 1, 2026.
In the case of an emergency, special requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis by the leadership team following the conference.
No-shows cannot be issued a refund, as contractual agreements have been met and paid to the venue based on attendance.

Force Majeure: Hypnothoughts Live will not be held responsible for any costs or damages incurred due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen events.

Exhibitor Refund Policy
Exhibitor registration may be canceled with full refund (less a $30 processing fee) provided written notification is received any time up until eight (8) weeks prior to the conference start date.
A 50% refund is available for exhibitor registration provided written notification is received between eight (8) weeks and four (4) weeks prior to the conference start date.
No refunds will be granted within four (4) weeks of the conference start date. In the case of an emergency, special requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis by the leadership team following the conference.
